The Nissan Armada Snow Patrol, as it's being called, made its world debut at the Chicago Auto Show, and it shows just how effective the brand's flagship SUV can be in taking down the worst kinds of winter weather.
In adding a raised suspension, a special front bumper, a light bar, a new roof rack, and of course extreme off-roading tires, the Nissan Armada Snow Patrol is equipped to tackle just about any sort of road condition with furious vigor.
"While the 2018 Nissan Armada drives like a luxury sedan, it has a long off-road heritage as the Nissan Patrol, a global expedition vehicle," said Billy Hayes, division vice president, Commercial Vehicles and Trucks, Nissan North America, Inc. "As part of our celebration of winter at the Chicago Auto Show, we wanted to remind our growing family of Armada owners and enthusiasts that this full-size SUV stands ready to take you to the mountains, or at least safely through Chicago streets covered in lake effect snow."
While this vehicle won't be appearing at your Nissan dealership serving Virginia Beach, VA any time soon, the standard 2018 Nissan Armada certainly will be, and for the milder weather in this part of the country, that should be more than enough. Still, it's exciting to see what the vehicle is capable of doing, and it certainly proves that this Nissan SUV is more than just a pretty face.
