The 2016 Nissan Murano is one of our favorite Nissan vehicles here at Hall Nissan Virginia Beach, and it looks like we’re not alone in our appreciation of the impressive Nissan crossover. A few days ago, the 2016 Nissan Murano was named "Activity Vehicle of Texas" by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA). The announcement came during the association’s annual Texas Auto Roundup, a two-day drive and evaluation of 53 vehicles spanning 17 vehicle categories.

Nicholas Phillips, president, TAWA, talked about how the group arrived at its decision: “Our members were impressed by the Murano as a versatile crossover in a highly competitive category. Particularly, Murano scored highly for its well-executed, luxurious interior and its bold exterior styling, which pushed it to the front of the category pack."

The 2016 Nissan Murano is definitely a vehicle designed to turn heads, serving as a true expression of Nissan’s advanced design direction thanks to its V-motion front end, LED boomerang lights, and unique "floating" roof. This emphasis on forward-thinking design continues inside the Nissan Murano and culminates in an engaging social lounge feel, with advanced Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seating and an airy atmosphere created by the large windows and oversized Power Panoramic Moonroof.

The announcement by TAWA comes on the heels of another prestigious honor for the Nissan Murano. Not too long ago, U.S. News & World Report named the Nissan Murano one of the “Best Cars for the Money” for the second straight year. The 2015-2016 Nissan Murano has won more awards during the last two years than any other SUV in its class.

Right now, head over to our dealership near Norfolk, VA to take advantage of great prices on all of our Nissan SUVs during our Memorial Day Sales Event running through the end of the month.
